This is a study of a mountain stream. It measures 14 in x 21 in. The foliage is vividly hued in tones of green, yellow, and red with blue mountains and sky in the background. A lone tree stands in the foreground in silhouette and the water is flowing over stones and mirrors the colors in the foliage. This piece is full of texture and color. When I moved from the cold, long winters of Washington, DC to the never-ending summer of South Florida, I found my love for growing flowers just kept expanding. Growing and nurturing flowers gives me a sense of calm and fulfillment in a world that is sometimes chaotic. In my digital artwork, I try to find a way to convey that sense to the observer in a timeless image.
