This is a study of a laburnum bloom. It measures 33.333 in (84.67 cm) x 45.833 in (116.42 cm). The cluster of blooms are awash with soft tones of pink, peach and gold and is surrounded by luminous shades of green, cyan and gold. This is an exotic piece with very pleasing tones and textures. When I moved from the cold, long winters of Washington, DC to the never-ending summer of South Florida, I found my love for growing flowers just kept expanding. Growing and nurturing flowers gives me a sense of calm and fulfillment in a world that is sometimes chaotic. In my digital artwork, I try to find a way to convey that sense to the observer in a timeless image.
