This is a study of a cowboy's face. I wanted the texture to match the worn complexion of the man. He has worked hard and it shows in his face; the lines and texture combine to reflect his journey through life. It is mainly monochromatic with some color imbuements of green, turquoise and taupe. This is a large and striking piece when placed in a space where it can seen close up.
