Calliandra by David Randal Miller

This is a beautiful, high quality art piece of a tropical calliandra plant with bright pink blooms. It measures 28 in (71.12 cm) x 35.444 in (90.03 cm). The large pom-pom blooms look almost like pink flames set against the lush, bright green foliage. This is a lush, tropical scene and is quite relaxing to look at. When I moved from the cold, long winters of Washington, DC to the never-ending summer of South Florida, I found my love for growing flowers just kept expanding. Growing and nurturing flowers gives me a sense of calm and fulfillment in a world that is sometimes chaotic. In my digital artwork, I try to find a way to convey that sense to the observer in a timeless image.
